3 Keys to Building a Successful Network Marketing Team



If you have a Network Marketing or Multi Level Marketing Business, you are a leader and you have a team.  But while most Network Marketers are most concerned with sales, my primary objectives are to build a successful team.


Here's 3 keys you can use to help build YOUR successful network marketing team:


#1  Your Team Must be a Priority!    The reason why they call it "teamwork" is because building a team requires "work".  I've become successful in network marketing for two reasons:  I chose what I think is the best business around to promote (Powerline 100), and I make it a priority to train and encourage my team on a regular basis.  Do not rope in a new team member and then leave him/her by the wayside.  Set them up for success.  Take time every day (even it it takes you away from making sales) to invest in your team members.  Email them a PERSONAL message.  Be willing to help them with any questions they may be having.  Call them on the phone just to see how they're doing.  Ask them about their life and family and truly care about what they say.  If building a team is not a priority for you, you are not a good team leader.


#2  You Dictate Your Team Environment!  You have the power do dictate if your team succeeds or fails.  Frequently remind them of WHY they want to earn an income from home.  Prepare them for pitfalls they may experience in the network marketing world.  Be confident in how you present yourself to your team, but also be willing to ask team members questions and listen to their advice.  A good leader is a good listener.  Here's something to remember when creating a good team environment:
Encourage--Build them up!
Empower--Train and prepare them to succeed.
Energize--Motivate them to push their own limits.


#3  It's Not About You!  Believe it or not, it's not about you.  A good team leader always puts their team's needs before their own.  By doing this, they are showing their team sacrifice, care, and trustworthiness.  Look at it this way...if your team leader is only concerned with his own well being, is that someone you want to trust and follow?  NO!  Be concerned about the success of your team FIRST and you'll be a success.

5 Ways to Overcome the Fear of Network Marketing

If you’re in Direct Sales Marketing, MLM, or Network Marketing, you’re often confronted with a fear that every human experiences:  FAILURE.  We all fear rejection.  But successful people, who make money online and network correctly are able to overcome their fear of failure.


Here are a few simple ways that I overcome my fears on a daily basis:


#1  Be Proactive!  Eleanor Roosevelt said, “Do one thing every day that scares you.” I have a very important rule in my own life.  If I am scared of doing something, but I know it is right and will benefit my future, I HAVE TO DO IT.  Whether it’s riding a roller coaster, talking to someone on the phone, confronting a problem, or making a sale, being bold and resolute will put you in the driver’s seat of your life.  Being proactive allows you to control your life, rather than situations controlling you.


#2  Don’t Give Up!  I’ve known hundreds of people who try one thing and then give up completely.  Embrace failure as a lesson learned and apply it to your future.  Ask any successful person in any industry.  THEY EXPERIENCED FAILURE IN THEIR LIVES.  But they never gave up.  My suggestion:  If you experience failure in one method, try another…then another…then another…then another.

#3  Don’t Take It Personal!:  When you fail, tell yourself this:  “This failure does not mean I am a failure as a person.”  If you’re outgoing one minute, and then sink into your shell the next, chances are you’re feeling like you’ve failed in some way.  Just because you do not get the result you want does not mean you you’re a failure and certainly does not mean it reflects who you are as a person.  When you fail (and you will), shake the dust off, lift your head high, and take immediate action.  Also, if someone is speaking negativity into your life, they are tearing you down.  Talk to them about it and if it doesn’t change, look in to ending that relationship because they will kill your spirit.


#4  Wake Up With a Plan!:  This is a biggie for me.  Every day when I wake up, it is with purpose.  Exercising makes me feel good about myself.  Eating healthy keeps my body and mind healthy.  And planning exactly how I’m going to use every hour of my day keeps me focused.  I am a Network Marketer.  This means I make my own hours.  Being serious about making money and providing for my family means that I must wake up every day and treat my Network Marketing business like a job.  This means planning my day.


#5  Be Creative!:  This is my favorite one.  Although failure often depresses me and puts me in a pit of despair, when I get out of it, I often see WHY I failed.  Knowing why can open up a whole realm of possibility…of of them being creativity.  Most of my new ideas that became successful came because I experienced some form of failure.  If you’re marketing your business, and one technique doesn’t work, ask yourself why.  Talk to people you trust about it.  Ask them for wisdom.  Then think of ways (brainstorm) of something NEW you can do that might work better for you.  Chances are, creativity is inside of you.  Take time to find it.
